What ToldYou is
ToldYou is a non-custodial prediction-market protocol on the Solana blockchain. The protocol is open and permissionless; this website is a front end for interacting with it. You retain custody of your funds at all times — we never hold your assets and cannot move them on your behalf.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must not be a resident of, or located in, a jurisdiction where participating in prediction markets is prohibited by law.
- You're solely responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including tax obligations on any winnings.
No financial advice
ToldYou is a tool for participating in prediction markets. Nothing on this site — including market questions, comments, descriptions, prices, or analytics — is financial, legal, or investment advice. Trade only what you can afford to lose.
Risk disclosure
- Prediction markets involve risk of total loss of any USDC you put in.
- Prices can move sharply. Markets may resolve unfavorably to your position.
- Smart-contract risk: the underlying programs are audited, but no software is bug-free. Use the platform at your own risk.
- Oracle risk: many markets resolve via UMA's Optimistic Oracle. Resolution depends on a third-party governance system outside our control.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for illegal activity.
- Create markets that are defamatory, threatening, hateful, or that promote violence against any individual or group.
- Attempt to manipulate prices through wash trading, sock-puppet accounts, or coordination with the resolver.
- Probe, scan, or interfere with the platform's infrastructure beyond ordinary use.
We reserve the right to remove markets and ban wallets that violate these rules.
Market creation responsibility
If you create a market, you're responsible for the question text, description, and resolution criteria. You are NOT a party to other users' trades on your market; the AMM is a smart contract and we (the platform) are not a counterparty either.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific market will resolve in any particular way.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ToldYou and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, arising from your use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
